So I decided to give the fabbo competition over at Scrapbook Outlet a go, up for grabs are THREE Slice machines. I've got a cricut but would love a slice to take to crops etc, and they're just so cute! I don't expect to win though, there are so many talented scrappers around but I'm really enjoying the challenges. Just having that little push has really brought my mojo back so yay for that! Anyway, enough of that, here's my effort for week one - the challenge was to scrap a NZ icon...
I ended up heading over to Birkenhead and taking the photo of Auckland from the wharf, it looked almost unreal when I blew it up! I've had that paua paper sitting in my collection for YEARS, so glad to finally have found a use for it!
And a close up of the details:
Now for the winner of my leg of the Twiddleybitz Blog Hop! thanks for all your wonderful comments, it made such nice reading!!
And comment Number 35 was:
This is just adorable!! The detail is just fantastic! TFS :)

I really like it, Louise. What a way to incorporate Auckland scenery into a layout without your kids actually being in the photo. I also like that arc on the side, what did you use to make that??? Also don't we all have that paua paper?! I think I got rid of mine though lol.

Stunning layout and photos Louise. Good luck with the comp. I had put my name down but unfortunately just not enough hours to get it done.
